Gentle swimming Latticed Butterfly fish animation prepared with 3ds Max and morph targets.
Interactive Preparation
The interactive Butterfly fish, on my other subdomains, swims as you swipe over it.
I modeled the fish with 3ds Max and morph targets then exported the models for rendering with WebGL.
For interactivity load the fish model data
with JavaScript.
Upload vertex and texel data to the GPU,
then use the GLSL mix()
method to morph the fish gradually as
you swipe.
Latticed Butterfly Fish
The Latticed Butterfly fish lives in the Indo-Pacific region from Sri Lanka to the Tuamotu Islands, north to southern Japan, south to the Great Barrier Reef, and from Palau to the eastern Caroline Islands in Micronesia.
Keep pets in salt water tanks with seventy gallons per fish. Latticed Butterfly fish grow up to six inches in length. They enjoy nibbling on live algae and prefer lots of space to swim.

Preparation
Most models are prepared by Seven Thunder Software with 3ds Max, exported with my free 3D Translator app. Architectural rendering's then mapped to the inside of a cube for fast online display with WebGL. Other video topics compose for MP3, GIF, and other useful formats, with After Effects, Photoshop and GIF Animator.
Software technologies include JavaScript, WebGL, GLSL shaders, HTML5 and CSS. Graphics applications include 3ds Max and Photoshop. 3D Translator was prepared with Visual Studio C#, UWP (Windows 10) and WPF (Windows 7 on up).
