School Season
This televised image represents the start of the school year with the word, Welcome
written on an
old style chalkboard. The chalkboard was composed with simple gradations
and rough edges for the chalk writing.

Concept Images
Each day I studied the news and prepared images to quickly identify current trends. Pictures were usually composed with scanned documents and images, plus some shadows for blending.

Broadcast media includes televised images for news broadcasts and animation background art. The news broadcasts were prepared as digital slides to display behind a newscaster. Extremely early in the morning I studied the most recent national news and rapidly prepared graphics to communicate the most important concepts.

with Vista Tips 24 bit software,
similar to Photoshop.
Background graphics are part of the portfolio of Amy (Washburn) Butler, owner of Seven Thunder Software, listed in imdb.com as Amy Washburn.
The goal for tomatoes backgrounds, included semi-realistic scenes with used, old or slightly battered props. For example Aunt Lily's messy living room, kitchen, and the lab scene's spilled liquid, look a little scary. Moss grew from bricks in the dungeon. In general, everything appeared scuffed and dirty.
2D illustration preparation included an eye for light direction, composition, and consistency between
scenes. Some scenes were prepared for horizontal tracking, such
as Aunt Lily's Living Room.
Left and right images for the room were painted
separately, then combined for horizontal tracking animation.
